at age twenty-one, saxophonist kenji lee has already begun to make his mark as a bandleader, composer, and improviser. lee's first recording, "darkhorse: the superhero", thoughtfully reflects on a period of growth. he is accompanied here by a brilliant cast of his contemporaries including david alvarez iii, lex korten, aidan cafferty, and peter formanek.
